Senior Finance Manager

Hays is currently working with a well-established contracting organisation in Abu Dhabi to appoint a highly experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead and oversee the financial operations of the business.

Role Overview

The Senior Finance Manager will play a critical leadership role in driving financial strategy, governance, and operational excellence across the organisation. This position is responsible for ensuring robust financial reporting, effective budgeting and forecasting processes, strong financial controls, and full regulatory compliance in line with local laws and industry standards. The successful candidate will act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, providing financial insights to support commercial decision-making and sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
• Develop and implement strong financial controls, policies, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, tax regulations, and audit standards
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions
• Monitor project costing, revenue recognition, and margin analysis within contracting operations
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and financial transparency
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement
• Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• Professional qualification: ACA, CPA, CIMA, or ACCA (mandatory)
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance
• Experience in the contracting business is preferred
• Proven experience in a leadership or management role
