Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role will support financial planning, analysis, and financial reporting for manufacturing operations. This role combines strong analytical capabilities with technical accounting expertise to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and insight into operational performance, driving efficiency and profitability across the organization.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for manufacturing operations
  • Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and provide actionable insights
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders
  • Apply technical accounting guidance (GAAP/IFRS) to ensure accurate financial reporting and proper treatment of complex transactions
  • Research and document accounting positions for non-routine or complex transactions (e.g., inventory valuation, revenue recognition, leases, capitalization)
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures
  • Analyze production costs, including labor, materials, and overhead, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop and maintain standard costing models and ensure alignment with accounting policies
  • Partner with operations and plant management to monitor KPIs (e.g., production efficiency, scrap rates, inventory turnover)
  • Support external and internal audits, including preparation of technical accounting memos and schedules
  • Assist in capital expenditure (CapEx) analysis and proper accounting treatment of fixed assets
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, and technical accounting, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments with a publicly traded company
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP/IFRS, including areas such as inventory, revenue recognition, leases, and fixed assets
  • Experience preparing or supporting financial statements and disclosures
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, research, and documentation skills
