Job Overview
As a
Senior Financial Analyst,
you will support strategies within the FP&A Finance organization to drive increased profitability, process efficiency, and work to enhance financial visibility and Insights supporting our Brand Building spend. Utilizing your relationship building skills, you will partner with marketing, leadership, and other business partners across the organization to deliver financial and strategic results through utilization of Financial Planning & Analysis best practices. Your role will be to ensure accuracy of our actuals and forecast numbers as well as help others throughout the organization understand financial results and complex reports. This is a Hybrid based role in our Battle Creek, Michigan Corporate Headquarters.
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

Direct Business Partnering: Provide financials insights, direction and recommendations to internal and external partners. Manage the completion of ad-hoc questions/ issues/projects as they arise, making recommendations where appropriate. Works cross functionally to drive continuous improvement within our processes and to drive value through our investments.

Financial Support: Collaborate with Finance Manager, Marketing, as well as internal and external business partners to provide guidance around reports, analytics, targets, and forecasts to ensure financial goals and strategies are achieved. Ensuring financials adhere to GAAP and company accounting policies. Responsible for performing periodic/quarterly month-end close process and budgeting/strategic forecast for Brand Building.

Drive Decision Making: Engage and influence management proactively, while playing a key role in identifying opportunities and taking proactive actions to minimize risk to the financial plan.

Month End Close Reporting – Lead the month end close process, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, post journal entries, validate balances in the General Ledger (SAP) and provide variance commentary.

Budgeting/Forecasting – Proactively recommend updates to budgets/ forecasts, identify variances to plan and help identify risks and opportunities.

Consolidate monthly financial results, run reports and present results to customer, commercial and leadership teams.

Controls and Compliance - Observe best practices, adheres to Section 404 (SOX) and U.S. GAAP, and comply with company policies.

Educate non-Finance business partners on key financial metrics to help enhance financial performance and ensure alignment with company goals.

Continuous Improvement – With an owner’s mindset, identify areas where we can standardize processes and develop better ones. Our success is shaped by you.
Qualifications

Business Degree in Accounting/Finance. Accounting Designation completion or Program Enrollment preferred.

Three to five years of related work experience. CPG experience is a bonus.

Proven experience providing financial insight and analysis to non-finance stakeholders.

High working knowledge of SAP, Excel, Power BI for reporting and analysis purposes.

Working knowledge of financial models including pricing and P&L.

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and results oriented.

Self-motivated, quick learner, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Salary Range
: $85,920 - $107,400
Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.
