Senior FPGA System Design Engineer
Join Analog Devices’ Automotive Cabin Experience Design Center in Istanbul and collaborate with a global team that has successfully delivered cutting-edge products adopted by leading car manufacturers across Europe, Asia, and the USA. As part of the GMSL SerDes group, you will contribute to the development of advanced integrated circuits for automotive applications, enabling high-speed serial data communication for next-generation safety, infotainment systems, and autonomous vehicles.
We are seeking an experienced FPGA System Design Engineer to join our team developing ASICs for automotive video applications. These ICs feature video input/output interfaces and high-speed serializers/deserializers for long-distance video transmission. The primary goal of this role is to validate ASIC designs on FPGA platforms before tape-out, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability.
Main responsibilities:
  • Integrate RTL code developed for ASIC into FPGA platform.
  • Modify RTL code as needed to ensure FPGA synthesizability and compatibility.
  • Create and maintain test benches for FPGA-based simulation and functional verification.
  • Implement FPGA cores to emulate analog components such as serializers and deserializers.
  • Develop custom logic to bridge ASIC-specific features to FPGA constraints.
  • Perform pre-silicon validation to identify bugs and performance limitations early.
  • Deploy FPGA designs on bench setups and validate using test equipment (video sources/analyzers, protocol generators, oscilloscopes).
  • Work closely with digital design team to understand ASIC architecture and requirements.
  • Provide feedback on design issues discovered during FPGA prototyping.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in FPGA design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in RTL coding (Verilog/VHDL) and FPGA synthesis tools.
  • Familiarity with ASIC design flow and constraints.
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces (e.g., SerDes) and video protocols is a plus.
  • Knowledge of video standards (e.g., DP, HDMI, oLDI) is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment for hardware validation is a plus.
