Senior Government Relations Specialist

Senior GR Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring MERED’s compliance with government regulations and facilitating smooth interactions with regulatory bodies across the UAE. This position directly supports project execution, registration, and stakeholder coordination, contributing to the company’s strategic expansion and operational excellence in the luxury real estate sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively follow up on government approvals, registrations, and permits to avoid project delays.
  • Identify potential regulatory issues early and escalate with practical solutions.
  • Handle multiple government transactions simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Support urgent or high-priority GR matters related to project launches, handovers, and sales operations.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to resolve GR-related challenges efficiently.
  • Ensure all government-related transactions and documentation follow company policies and relevant laws.
  • Manage the registration of cases through Dubai Land Department (DLD), Abu Dhabi Authorities systems and other regulatory platforms.
  • Support coordination between departments to streamline communication and GR-related processes.
  • Prepare official letters and documents for communication with government entities, ministries, and private institutions.
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reports for internal management regarding GR activities.
  • Monitor compliance with government regulations and assist with necessary updates or changes to ensure ongoing adherence.
  • Attend and assist with preparations for regular meetings with Dubai Land Department or other relevant authorities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all GR-related transactions and communications to ensure proper documentation for future reference.


Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Law, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in Government Relations within the UAE, preferably in real estate, legal, or regulatory sectors.
  • Proven experience dealing with DLD, RERA, Oqood, ADM, ADGM, DDA, Trakhees, and other UAE-based authorities.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate regulatory frameworks, project registration procedures, and escrow laws.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and regulatory portals (e.g., DLD, Oqood, ADGM e-portal).
  • UAE Driver’s License.


Preferred Qualifications

  • High degree in Public Administration, Law, or Real Estate Development.
  • Certified training in regulatory compliance or real estate law.
  • Experience in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi project ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of CRM or GR-related systems such as 1C, Oqood, or GRP platforms.
  • Familiarity with ADGM regulations and Free Zone operational models.
