Senior Highway Design Engineer

DRAWLINES ENGINEERING CONSULTANT is looking for Senior Highway Design Engineer in Doha-Qatar

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 18 years of relevant experience in highway/road design.
• MMUP/UPDA Certification (mandatory).
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of highway design standards such as AASHTO, Ashghal standards, and local codes.
• Proficient in design software such as Civil 3D, MX Road, InRoads, and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Must be locally available in Qatar

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design of complex highway and roadway infrastructure projects from concept through detailed design and construction support.
• Review and supervise the preparation of design drawings, calculations, BOQs, specifications, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, design codes, and client requirements (e.g., Ashghal standards).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, drainage, and traffic engineers.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
• Participate in project meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits as needed to evaluate design implementation and resolve issues.
• Ensure that design deliverables meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
