We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Human Resources Manager to lead and support all human resources functions at Petit Ermitage, a private, bohemian-inspired hotel known for its distinctive culture, elevated service standards, and people-first approach. This role is critical in shaping the employee experience, ensuring compliance, and partnering with leadership to support operational excellence across the property.

The ideal candidate is confident, discreet, and highly organized, with a strong understanding of hospitality HR operations. You are both strategic and hands-on, capable of building structure while maintaining a warm and supportive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all HR functions including employee relations, compliance, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and performance management
  • Serve as a trusted partner to department heads and senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and hotel policies
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes for all departments
  • Manage employee relations issues including investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution
  • Oversee training, development, and performance review programs
  • Maintain HR systems and employee records including Paycom or similar platforms
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Support workforce planning, scheduling strategies, and labor management
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of five years of progressive HR management experience required
  • Hospitality or hotel HR experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws and compliance standards
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems, Paycom preferred
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with executive leadership
  • Professional demeanor with a people-first mindset
