Job Description:

The HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) Analyst plays a critical role in the efficient functioning of the HRIS department by assisting with the managing and optimization of our HRIS software systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, HR knowledge, and analytical skills to ensure accurate data management, reporting, and system enhancements.

They will serve as a key resource and expert on Workday system implementation and functionality in areas such as HCM, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, and Compensation & Performance. Reporting to the Director, HRIS & Compensation, this role will help plan, design, develop, test, and deploy new HR technology solutions, enhance existing systems, and implement continuous process improvements.

Additionally, this analyst will consult with HR Partners and business stakeholders to identify data and reporting requirements and provide effective solutions to those needs while delivering top-notch customer service. This subject matter expert will be a point of contact for the HRIS Team and responsible for researching and configuring technical solutions which includes system configuration, enhancements, and deployment efforts. This individual will play an essential role in the deployment and ongoing operations of HSL’s HRIS implementation. This role will have an immediate impact on improving employee experience and organizational productivity through consistent processes, tools, and support.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in process design discussions for designated modules with Functional Leads and the Systems Implementation Partner to determine configuration options and Best Practices.

  • Work closely with the System Implementation Partner to define configuration requirements and perform configurations while working with the business users.

  • Develops test scripts and performs Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), in collaboration with Functional resources.

  • Assist with the development of internal documentation (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with Training and Functional resources.

  • Create reports, dashboards, and analytics for ongoing stakeholder needs

  • Provide systems support and assist with end-user training

  • Support and maintain all HRIS/Payroll modules as the HRIS partner supporting Core HCM in Workday along with Performance Management, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Attendance.

  • Test and validate Business Process changes in Workday.

  • Work to meet expected business performance goals by providing full range of customer service.

  • Assist with the administration new feature releases for designated modules.

  • Others projects and duties as may be required by business needs.

  • Assist with develop a governance framework for managing our report inventory including defining standards for naming conventions, report tagging, data source usage, discoverability, and sharing

  • Continuously optimize our custom reports as business needs and Workday functionality change, keeping scalability and accuracy in mind

  • Support ongoing audit and compliance reporting needs

  • Provide production support including triaging tickets, troubleshooting data issues, providing end-user support, researching alternative solutions and features, and delivering on enhancement requests

  • Assess new Workday features and conduct testing during Workday release cycles

  • Ensure data integrity across Workday and downstream systems; adhere to data governance, compliance, and security policies

  • Document processes and procedures, assist with end-user training and creation of quick reference guides

  • Promote and utilize best practices, holistic design, and thorough testing to ensure quality work and system stability

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or a combination of education and related experience required.

  • At least two (3) years of experience supporting HCM systems or another enterprise application system (ex: ADP, Kronos, Workday, Oracle, etc.) Workday strongly preferred

  • Experience in Configurable Security, Custom Report writing, and/or Data Audit desired

  • Knowledge of HR practices required; Direct HR experience preferred

  • Proven Data protection and privacy experience required

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality a must

  • Ability to work in group setting and independently; ability to adjust to changing priorities

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Five to seven years of experience with advanced knowledge of core HR and compensation practices, preferably in a healthcare setting.

  • Ability to effectively deliver consultation services and build relationships with managers, peers in the HR community, and other stakeholders.

  • Ability to maintain, manipulate and analyze large, complex datasets. Can quickly gather, organize, and interpret data.

  • Makes sound professional decisions with good judgment and discretion and acts accordingly. Handles confidential information without breaking trust or confidence.
