Senior Industrial Designer/Production Manager

Senior Production Manager/Industrial Designer - We are an acrylic (Lucite) fabricator with about 30 employees designing and creating custom furniture and accessories. You would be responsible for working with our customers to understand their wants, re-engineering them with the customer as-needed so that they are structurally sound and that we are capable of fabricating them, communicating the specifications for those projects to manufacturing/production, and overseeing the production.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities
● work with the shop foreman to oversee production from a higher level to ensure that all production goals are met
● work with clients (all sales are customer-initiated - we make no sales calls) to understand what it is they would like us to fabricate for them
● contribute to the design, ensuring that it is well-engineered, good-looking and can be fabricated in our facility
● cost out projects and value engineer when appropriate
● create drawings when needed using CAD software
● ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
● contribute to a safe and secure working environment

Experience Required/Desired
● you MUST have management/oversight/supervisory experience in a production environment
● you MUST know basic shop (wood shop) operations and have an understanding of small-scale custom manufacturing
● you MUST be personable and able to collaborate with others. We operate as a team
● you MUST be comfortable working directly with our customers closing sales

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
