Job Purpose:

The Senior Interior Designer will lead the design development and execution of high-end residential and commercial interior projects. The role requires strong expertise in space planning, material selection, finishes, detailing, and coordination with clients and execution teams to deliver aesthetically refined and technically sound interior solutions.

Key Responsibilities:Design & Concept Development

• Lead complete interior design projects from concept to execution.
• Develop design concepts, mood boards, and detailed interior layouts.
• Prepare design presentations including materials, finishes, colors, textures, and lighting.
• Translate client requirements into functional and aesthetic interior solutions.
• Ensure design alignment with client budget, timelines, and brand standards.

Material Selection & Specifications

• Select and specify interior materials including:
• Flooring, wall finishes, ceiling treatments
• Furniture, veneers, laminates, paints, wallpapers
• Hardware, accessories, sanitary ware, lighting fixtures
• Maintain updated material libraries, samples, and vendor coordination.
• Evaluate material quality, durability, cost, and suitability for each project.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for samples, mockups, and approvals.

Drawings & Documentation

• Prepare and review detailed drawings:
• Layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed joinery drawings
• Coordinate with 3D visualizers for accurate design representation.
• Ensure design intent is clearly communicated to execution teams.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals.

Client Coordination

• Conduct client meetings and design presentations.
• Manage design revisions and approvals efficiently.
• Guide clients through design decisions and material selections.
• Maintain strong professional relationships and client satisfaction.

Site Coordination & Execution

• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and project teams.
• Conduct site visits to ensure execution as per approved designs.
• Resolve design-related issues during execution.
• Monitor quality, finishes, and detailing on-site.

Team Leadership

• Guide and mentor junior interior designers and draftsmen.
• Review team output for quality, accuracy, and timelines.
• Coordinate with sales, estimation, and procurement teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture(More into interiors expert).
• 7–10 years of professional interior design experience.
• Strong expertise in:
• Residential & commercial interiors
• Material selection and specifications
• Joinery detailing and finishes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of 3D tools (3ds Max, SketchUp, Lumion, or similar) preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and interior execution.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-handling skills.
• Strong aesthetic sense with attention to detail.
