Senior Interior Designer – Retail Fit-Out (3D, 2D & Technical Drawings)

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Interior Designer with strong experience in retail environments to lead the design and technical execution of store fit-outs. The candidate must be capable of delivering complete 2D drawings, 3D visualizations, and full construction documentation suitable for mall approvals and contractor execution.

This role requires both creative vision and strong technical drawing capability.

Key ResponsibilitiesConcept & Design Development

• Develop retail store concepts aligned with brand identity
• Space planning and customer flow optimization
• Material selection (flooring, wall finishes, joinery, lighting, fixtures)
• Mood boards and presentation decks
• 3D renders and realistic visualizations

Technical & Construction Drawings

• Full 2D CAD drawings (AutoCAD or similar)
• Detailed shop drawings
• Joinery details
• Ceiling plans
• Electrical & lighting layout
• HVAC coordination
• MEP coordination drawings
• Sections and elevations
• BOQ preparation support

Fit-Out & Execution

• Prepare drawing packages for mall approval
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers
• Site supervision (if required)
• Ensure compliance with local building codes (Qatar / GCC preferred)
• Handle revisions during construction stage

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• 5+ years experience in retail or commercial fit-out
• Strong portfolio of completed retail projects
• Advanced proficiency in:
• AutoCAD
• 3Ds Max / SketchUp / Blender
• V-Ray or Corona
• Photoshop
• Ability to produce complete IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings
• Knowledge of mall submission requirements
• Understanding of luxury retail presentation standards

Preferred Experience

• Experience in fashion retail stores
• Experience with GCC mall approvals
• Knowledge of joinery production
• Experience with high-end finishes and custom fixtures
• Experience working with premium brands

Job Type: Temporary
