Senior IT Executive

Islamabad, Pakistan

Our company is seeking an experienced IT Executive who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure. As an IT Executive, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise in the deployment and support different solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

· Installation, maintenance and support of Desktop Operating Systems that include Windows, chrome and MacOS.

· Installation and support of Desktop applications and packages required by Prestige Communication Users in the execution of their day-to-day tasks.

· Responsible to provide support and troubleshoot on LAN user's queries and complaints regarding IT related services.

· Monitor routine hardware/software maintenance schedule for Desktop users and related test equipment (PCs and peripherals, accessories, devices and packages) in use, coordinate with vendor/service-provider for any required service and or/support as per service/maintenance support agreements, escalate any relevant issues according to urgency Ensure that all the desktops/laptops and LAN services are secured from viruses, spywares and / or Trojans.

· Regular updates and scanning of Antivirus software on users' desktops and reviewing of antivirus logs for troubleshooting purposes.

· Maintain Inventory of LAN equipment - PCs and peripherals, installed licensed-software/operating system; and ensure only authorized relocation of hardware and installation of software; keep record of related maintenance activities and provide required status reports.

· Identify any additional requirements in the capacity of LAN expansion, license requirements, hardware/software upgrades etc.

· Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.

· Replace parts as required.

· Support the roll-out of new applications.

· Set up new users' domain accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.

· Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.

· Monitoring and maintaining users' computer systems and networks.

· Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.

· Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).

· Repairing and replacing IT equipment as per need.

· Testing new technology.

  • Provide 24x7 on-call support in an on-call rotation.

· New user enrollment on Access Control (Biometric Attendance Machine).

· Basic knowledge about CCTV & PBX.

· IT Document management.

· Management of IT Asset Inventory.

· Virtual Meeting Platform management (Skype, Zoom, etc).

· Responsible for maintaining the reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization while adhering to network and system security standards

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of different cloud applications with other enterprise systems

· Hands-on experience with Linux operating system

  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
  • Providing timely and effective technical, operations and training support of end user computers and devices by telephone, email, or remote session
  • Taking escalations from tier 1 support
  • Image, install and maintain employees computers and devices
  • install, support and maintain printing environments
  • Provide virus / malware protection and remediation using standardized tools
  • Remotely patch employee computers
  • Advance computer / network troubleshooting
  • Research and document processes to support ongoing projects
  • Document resolutions and update procedures that may be outdated.
  • Proficiency in remote desktop and helpdesk software
  • Advanced knowledge of IT software, hardware, and network setup.
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize and diagnose IT problems.
  • Extensive experience in resolving customer IT queries.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate with customers, vendors, and partners across all levels
  • Excellent time management skills

· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members

· Ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization

· Maintain documentation and provide training to end-users.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

· 2+ years of experience in designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise IT systems

· Strong experience with virtualization, server management and support of services.

· Experience with Linux and virtualization technologies.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail

· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

· Microsoft MCSE, Office 365 and CEH and CPT certifications are a plus.
