Senior Joinery Design Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Joinery Design Coordinator to lead and coordinate joinery design activities for interior fit-out and joinery projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing technical drawings, coordinating with project stakeholders, ensuring design accuracy, and supporting production and installation teams to deliver high-quality projects within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and approve shop drawings, detailed joinery drawings, and production drawings for manufacturing and site execution.
• Interpret architectural, IFC, tender, and construction drawings to develop accurate and practical joinery details.
• Coordinate joinery designs with architectural, MEP, structural, and site requirements to ensure seamless execution.
• Review drawings prepared by the drafting team to ensure they are accurate, buildable, technically sound, and compliant with project specifications.
• Liaise and coordinate with architects, consultants, project managers, site teams, and factory/production teams regarding technical and design requirements.
• Coordinate closely with the Materials/Procurement team and Project Managers (PMs) for material specifications, approvals, and project requirements.
• Identify and resolve design clashes, technical conflicts, and site-related issues before production and installation.
• Provide technical support to the factory and production teams by ensuring accurate detailing and practical manufacturing solutions.
• Conduct site visits for measurements, verification, coordination, and installation support when required.
• Manage drawing submissions, revisions, approvals, and documentation to maintain project timelines and records.
• Ensure quality standards, project specifications, and deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Assist in material selection, technical recommendations, and value engineering to optimize cost, quality, and project efficiency.
• Maintain effective communication between design, production, procurement, and project teams for smooth project delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in joinery, interior fit-out, or woodworking industry, with senior coordination experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of joinery detailing, manufacturing processes, materials, and site execution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D software, MS Office, and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of shop drawings, IFC drawings, material specifications, and production coordination.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects within deadlines.
