Senior Key Account Manager – SanMar

Mission

This role will act as a trusted partner, consultant, and growth driver for our Key Customer/distributor SanMar. The role will bring expertise in imprint solutions and promotional products, paired with a passion for building relationships and delivering creative, revenue-driving programs and ready to elevate both client brands and our business.

Main responsibilities

  • Drive Growth & Retention
    • Own and expand the distribution of our product within SanMar developing the ST/ST story and approach within SM.
    • Build tailored account strategies to maximize SanMar engagement, sales growth, and profitability.
    • Identify new revenue opportunities through consultative selling, cross-selling, and upselling.
  • Strengthen Client Partnerships
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders at SanMar.
    • Deliver insights and recommendations that position us as a go-to partner.
    • Ensure an exceptional client experience from concept to delivery.
  • Lead Business Development
    • Partner with leadership to pursue enterprise-level opportunities.
    • Keep a pulse on market and industry trends to bring fresh, innovative ideas to clients.
  • Collaborate & Influence
    • Work closely with internal teams (creative, marketing, sourcing, operations, logistics) to deliver flawless solutions.
    • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement of our sales approach.
  • Performance & Reporting
    • Monitor account health and performance, delivering accurate forecasts and reports.
    • Conduct regular business reviews with clients and internal stakeholders.

Your profile

  • 7+ years of experience in key account management, business development, or higher sales within the imprint, promotional products, or branded merchandise space with ideally a good knowledge of distributors
  • A proven track record of growing enterprise-level accounts and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong grasp of imprinting techniques, product customization, and merchandising trends.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to travel within the West Coast region.
