Senior Manager Architecture and Masterplanning

Position Overview
The Senior Manager Architecture and Masterplanning will lead in-house and consultant design teams for new developments and redevelopments across malls, residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. Reporting to the Director of Architecture and Masterplanning, the role ensures innovative, customer-centric designs that align with Majid Al Futtaim s brand vision and sustainability objectives, including support for the Group s Net Zero strategy.

What You ll Do

* Develop and communicate design visions and conceptual frameworks for projects, aligning with customer journeys and business objectives.
* Collaborate with Development, Leasing, Operations, and other stakeholders to translate briefs into functional and innovative design solutions.
* Lead architectural and masterplanning teams in delivering layouts, site plans, and concepts for retail, residential, and mixed-use developments.
* Oversee the end-to-end design process, ensuring design integrity from concept to delivery, coordinating with external consultants and contractors.
* Champion customer-focused and innovative design concepts that enhance user experiences and differentiate MAF projects.
* Promote adoption of advanced design technologies, codify design standards, and ensure quality outputs through benchmarking and innovation.
* Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Uphold governance, compliance, and quality standards, including sustainability integration, value engineering, and audit processes.
* Represent Majid Al Futtaim at design forums, industry events, and internal governance committees.

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor s degree in Architecture or related discipline; advanced qualifications preferred.
* 12 18 years of architectural and masterplanning experience, ideally with exposure to residential, retail, and hospitality projects in the GCC.
* Proven ability to lead large, complex, multidisciplinary projects from design through to delivery.
* Strong knowledge of design standards, construction methodologies, procurement, and tendering processes.
* Innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and an ability to balance creativity with commercial feasibility.
* Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
* Passion for sustainability and digital innovation in the built environment.
