Role Overview
The Senior Manager – Client Accounting Services (CAS) serves as the primary accounting lead for a single, dedicated client. This role is embedded with the client’s organization and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The position is focused on accurate execution, operational ownership, and team leadership.
Client Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the assigned client.
- Review and ensure accuracy of financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Oversee general ledger reconciliations and ensure integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial data.
- Manage consolidated financial reporting and perform variance and trend analysis.
- Review balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review ad-hoc accounting analyses and management reports as required.
Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all audits, reviews, and regulatory examinations related to the client.
- Coordinate audit schedules, requests, and documentation with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting procedures, and documentation.
- Address audit findings and support remediation efforts as needed.
Budgeting & Monitoring (Execution-Focused)
- Support preparation of budgets and periodic updates for reporting purposes.
- Monitor actual results against approved budgets and perform variance analysis.
- Track cash activity and working capital movements for reporting and control purposes.
Operations, Systems & Process Improvement
- Own and improve accounting processes and workflows for the client.
- Lead or support ERP implementation, optimization, and reporting enhancements (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- Establish standardized procedures, close calendars, and reconciliation schedules.
- Drive automation and consistency in reporting and close processes.
Leadership, Team Management & Stakeholder Coordination
- Lead and develop the accounting team supporting the dedicated client.
- Assign, review, and approve work to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Coordinate with client management and internal stakeholders on accounting operations.
- Present financial results and audit-related information to client leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Represent the accounting function in internal meetings and reviews.
Qualifications
- U.S. CPA (or CA / ACCA) with 5–8 years of accounting experience in public accounting, advisory, or embedded accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP-based financial reporting.
- Experience acting as the primary accounting owner for a complex organization or engagement.
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems and ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams and deliver accurate, timely accounting results
Shift Timings: 7pm to 4am (Monday to Friday)
