Senior Manager of Logistics and Distribution
American Cruise Lines is a rapidly growing, nationwide company that is seeking a responsible and detailed orientated Senior Manager of Logistics and Distribution for our Essex, CT warehouse. We are looking for a goal oriented and driven person to develop a warehouse system for a company in accelerated growth mode. This person is responsible for maintaining efficiency and accuracy in the supply chain process from the main warehouse to vessels. The person must have experience implementing, executing, and maintaining Warehouse Management Systems and Shipping Management Systems. The position provides the chance to be a part of the design and creation of a crucial business function with high visibility. The person in this role will have the opportunity to make recommendations to senior management for efficiency and process improvements.

Responsibilities:
- Identify, implement, and oversee Warehouse Systems Management program.
- Lead the implementation of supply chain software in the warehouse and onboard vessels.
- Be responsible for following shipments sent from the warehouse to the vessels
- Confirm/communicate tracking of outgoing shipments
- Ensure receipt of shipment to vessel
- Confirm inventories onboard and in warehouse
- Take ownership of the process and resolve issues that may arise to ensure completion of shipments within a strict timeframe
- Initiate reordering inventories for the main warehouse and two other ancillary warehouses.
- Maintain efficiencies throughout supply chain from inventories, shipments and restocking.
- Generate inventory & shipping reports.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years prior experience with warehouse management systems required: eg Amazon, UPS, or other large distribution warehouses.
- Strong Supply Chain knowledge from end to end processing of shipments.
- Sense of urgency with all tasks.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated.
- Travel required up to 25%.
- Ability to lift 55 pounds.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.
- Must have a valid motor vehicle license.
- Must be located within commutable distance of Essex, CT.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
