Job Summary: The Senior Manager of Capex Procurement will oversee and manage the capital expenditure procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of capital assets such as machinery, equipment, and infrastructure. This role requires a professional with strong negotiation, strategic sourcing, and vendor management skills, combined with a deep understanding of Capex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for capital projects.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Conduct market analysis to anticipate trends and assess procurement risks.

2. Vendor Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
  • Negotiate favourable terms, contracts, and service agreements with vendors.
  • Ensure vendor performance meets organizational standards in terms of quality, cost, and timelines.

3. Budget and Cost Management:

  • Manage and control Capex procurement budgets, ensuring compliance with financial objectives.
  • Monitor spending to identify and capitalize on cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

4. Contract Management:

  • Lead contract negotiations for capital projects, ensuring alignment with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts from initiation to execution and renewal.

5. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and personal development.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and best practices.

6. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to all internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively manage procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions and contract disputes.
