Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with institutional goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors/suppliers for academic and non-academic materials (books, lab equipment, uniforms, IT, furniture, etc.).
- Negotiate contracts, prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
Inventory & Asset Management:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels across campuses; monitor usage trends and demand forecasting.
- Implement inventory management systems for real-time tracking and reporting.
- Ensure systematic tagging, tracking, and auditing of assets across all institutions.
Logistics & Distribution:
- Plan and manage the logistics of materials and equipment across multiple locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of supplies to meet academic timelines (start of academic year, exams, etc.).
- Liaise with transport vendors for cost-efficient and reliable distribution.
Process Optimization & Compliance:
- Standardize procurement and SCM processes across the organization.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, budget guidelines, and statutory compliance.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement and logistics professionals.
- Collaborate closely with academic heads, admin managers, and finance teams for alignment and planning.
- Ensure timely reporting, MIS, and documentation.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or related field; MBA/PGDM preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations management.
- Prior experience in the education sector or multi-location institutions (schools, colleges, training centers) preferred.
- Proficient in ERP systems and inventory management tools.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
