Senior Marketing Social Media Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Social Media Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage and grow our social media presence, ensure high-quality publishing, identify and leverage trends (especially from the U.S. market), and provide actionable insights through competitor research and performance reporting. This role also involves supporting the marketing team with research tasks, assisting the project manager with organization, and occasionally handling communication with external companies to collect offers and proposals.

Reporting Line

This position reports directly to the Marketing Lead and the project manager.

Key Responsibilities

Trend & Content Support

  • Monitor and deliver the latest social media trends, especially those relevant to the accounts under management.

  • Identify and track trending hashtags, viral formats, and content styles in the U.S. market, and regularly share them with the content team.

  • Provide creative references and examples of viral content to inspire innovative account strategies.

Account Management & Growth

  • Handle daily publishing across all social media platforms with zero errors.

  • Review and approve all posts before publishing to ensure brand consistency and quality.

  • Manage account setup, access, and security (open/close accounts when needed).

  • Develop strategies to grow accounts, increase engagement, and optimize performance.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Generate detailed reports on performance metrics from Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and Snapchat Ads Manager.

  • Analyze KPIs and trends to provide actionable recommendations for optimization.

  • Communicate results and insights to the wider team clearly and effectively.


Competitor & Market Research

  • Conduct comprehensive research on competitor accounts and industry benchmarks.

  • Prepare strong reports that highlight market opportunities, content gaps, and competitive positioning.

  • Support the marketing and management teams with research for campaigns, strategy, and decision-making.

Communication & External Support

  • Occasionally communicate with companies or partners to request offers and proposals.

  • Collect quotations and share relevant details with the management team for review.

Project Management Support

  • Assist the project manager in organizing files, tasks, and Google Drive structure.

  • Help prepare and complete briefs and research needed for ongoing projects.

  • Provide proactive support to ensure smooth execution of marketing operations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing multiple social media platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of algorithms, content formats, and engagement tactics across major platforms.

  • Ability to identify and adapt quickly to trends, especially in the U.S. market.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience generating reports from multiple ad platforms.

  • Excellent research and communication skills (internal & external).

  • Detail-oriented with commitment to error-free publishing.

  • Organized and proactive in supporting the project manager and wider team.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

  • Growth in follower base and engagement rates.

  • Timely and accurate publishing with zero errors.

  • Quality and relevance of trend/hashtag insights delivered to the content team.

  • Effectiveness of competitor and market research reports.

  • Accuracy and timeliness of external communication (offers/quotations).

  • Organization and support provided to the project manager.

  • Measurable improvement in ad performance metrics across Google, Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat.
