Senior Material Engineer

Tasks

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Material Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering with a focus on pavement structure, materials and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the proper performance of quality tests.
• Conduct in-depth material testing and analysis to ensure quality and performance.
• Design and implement laboratory operations for material testing procedures.
• Provide technical advice on material suitability and selection based on project specifications.
• Supporting the laboratories in estimating the uncertainty of measurements in coordination with the Department head.
• Evaluation and/ or documentation of the laboratory tests and test results.
• Implement quality control systems to avoid deviations.
• Carrying out site inspections and participating in audits.
• Ensure compliance with Special specification, including OHDS Standards and Regulations
• Technical advice to the client and the operational units.
• Verification of the improvements carried out in case of non-conformities identified.
• Proactive and Reactive skill for material related issues.
• Information to responsible persons in the event of technical problems that affect quality.
• Establishing research procedures and proposing solutions to technical problems.
• Imparting one's own knowledge to colleagues and internal customers.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, with 10 years’ experience in construction.
• Very good knowledge of standards, guidelines, laws and group regulations.
• Analytical thinking, technical understanding, affinity for numbers and international standard.
• Knowledge of process flows and measuring equipment in the laboratory.
• Experience in conducting tests.
