Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical CAD & Simulation Engineer with strong technical depth in mechanical design, FEA simulation, and product validation. The selected candidate will lead mechanical projects from concept to validation, ensuring precision in design, simulation accuracy, and manufacturability.

You will play a key role in design optimization, engineering calculations, and testing analysis, while also mentoring junior engineers and improving design processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Create and finalize 3D models and mechanical assemblies.
• Conduct tolerance analysis and ensure manufacturability through DFM and DFMEA.
• Perform design iterations, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and chain of tolerances studies.
• Apply strong understanding of mechanics of machines and component sizing.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and data analysis summaries.

Calculations & Simulation

• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Finite Element Method (FEM) calculations.
• Conduct linear static and specialized simulations for critical applications.
• Generate detailed reports for certification and compliance.
• Develop and validate mechanical models with advanced simulation tools.

Testing & Validation

• Support testing teams during assembly and mechanical validation phases.
• Perform testing data analysis and assist in project follow-up.
• Identify and document root causes and propose effective technical solutions.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, assembly manuals, and maintenance manuals.
• Manage renderings and visual documentation for presentations and client deliverables.
• Maintain records and project data in SAP or other ERP systems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and simulation.
• Proficient in CAD tools and strong command of FEA.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to execute complex projects independently with attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
