Senior Mechanical Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to manage projects from award to delivery and handover. The role covers estimation, concept design and review, tendering, technical management and coordination, and on-site supervision of MEP works. The successful candidate will ensure project quality, efficiency, and timely completion across all stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit and analyze MEP drawings at all project stages.
• Design and review mechanical systems for constructability and compliance.
• Identify risks affecting cost, schedule, or quality, and propose corrective actions.
• Recommend alternative designs or materials to optimize cost and time.
• Collaborate with architects during concept design and feed information to estimation.
• Review bids and specifications from contractors and suppliers.
• Develop method statements and engineering documentation.
• Lead technical aspects of projects to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Support Project Managers with technical guidance and knowledge transfer.
• Participate in tendering of major projects, ensuring accurate technical input.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering .
• 12+ years of experience , including:
• 8 years in contracting.
• 3 years in engineering/design.
• Proven experience in major building projects (retail, malls, commercial).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and planning software .
• Strong command of English .
• Knowledge of Saudi/GCC market practices and materials preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of MEP disciplines (HVAC, plumbing, etc.).

Working Conditions
