Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview

VX Studio Consultancy is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in high-rise building projects and engineering consultancy. The ideal candidate will lead the design, coordination, and supervision of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and review of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) for high-rise projects
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to ensure integrated design delivery
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, etc.)
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality and safety standards
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams
• Attend client meetings, coordination meetings, and design reviews
• Identify and resolve design and site-related issues efficiently
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
• Prepare and review technical reports and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience, with at least UAE experience in consultancy firms
• Strong experience in high-rise building projects (mandatory)
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Familiarity with UAE codes and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant design software
• Excellent communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, ASHRAE membership)
• Experience working on large-scale or landmark projects
• Strong leadership and team management skills
