Senior MEP Design Engineer

Job Summary:

EGEC Qatar is looking for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our on-site team in Doha. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical design within the engineering consultancy field, with strong technical and coordination capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the mechanical design process for building services (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting).
• Ensure compliance with international and Qatari mechanical codes and standards.
• Prepare and review detailed design drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (electrical, structural, architectural).
• Supervise junior engineers and CAD/BIM technicians.
• Attend project coordination and client meetings.
• Support site teams during project execution when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical design (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting).
• Strong proficiency in Revit MEP and BIM software (mandatory).
• Excellent command of AutoCAD, HAP, DuctSizer, PipeSizer, and other HVAC design tools.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
• experience in engineering consultations companies is a must
• UPDA certificate Grade A is a plus.

• Leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Familiarity with Qatari regulations and local authority submission processes.
