Main Objectives

Support food cost management efforts by analyzing data, tracking inventory, and providing insights into cost control measures to contribute to efficient use of resources and maintain budget compliance in catering operations.

Main Duties

o Track and analyse food cost data to identify variances between actual and budgeted costs and recommend corrective actions for cost control.

o Assist in the preparation of food cost reports by gathering relevant data, ensuring accuracy, and providing insights for senior management’s review.

o Monitor inventory forecast and share the data with the relevant team to ensure all the materials and related menu items are available.

o Collaborate with the kitchen and procurement teams to gather information on food usage and identify potential areas for reducing costs.

o Assist in conducting regular food cost audits to assess financial performance, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

o Provide support in menu costing by calculating food costs per dish and assisting in setting appropriate pricing based on cost analysis.

o Assist in maintaining supplier and vendor relationships by monitoring pricing, ensuring consistency with agreed terms, and addressing cost-related issues.

o Assist in the preparation of food cost forecasts and budgets by analysing historical data and providing insights on potential cost-saving opportunities.

o Comply with Company's and airport authorities’ health, safety & security requirements.

o Carries out other similar or related duties as directed by the management.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

o Minimum 2-3 years of experience in food cost management, budgeting, or financial analysis within the catering or hospitality sector.

Other Essential Requirements:

o Great in spoken/written English.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting software.
