Senior Packaging Designer

Anaheim, United States

You
Let’s be real: packaging is often treated as an afterthought. Not here. At Red Kite Brands, packaging is storytelling, it’s brand, and it’s often the first impression our customers get of who we are.

This role is about you bringing your creative muscle, your eye for detail, and your mastery of design to make food packaging that people can’t ignore. It’s about you caring enough about typography, layout, and visual storytelling to obsess over how every curve, color, and finish communicates our brand. It’s about you not being satisfied with “good enough” and instead pushing packaging into the realm of “wow.”

And it’s about you leading the charge—taking concepts from raw idea to shelf-ready product, while shaping how our snacks are experienced by millions of people.

Your Problems Solved!
As our Senior Packaging Designer, you’ll own the full lifecycle of packaging design across multiple product categories. From first sketches to final print files, you’ll be the creative driver making sure each launch is visually stunning, on-brand, and market-ready. You’ll collaborate with Business Management, Product Development, Operations, and QA teams to ensure design not only looks great but works flawlessly in the real world.

This is your chance to step into a high-impact role where your creativity doesn’t just live on a mood board—it lives on shelves in Costco, TJ Maxx, and beyond.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

Soft Skills:

  • A creative leader who thrives on bringing fresh ideas and executing them with precision.
  • Strong collaborator who knows how to partner with cross-functional teams and handle feedback with professionalism.
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years of professional packaging design experience, preferably in food or consumer goods.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of typography, color, and brand systems.
  • Ability to create compelling mock-ups and product imagery to support sales and marketing.
  • Familiarity with printing processes, materials, and production constraints.

Preferred:

  • Experience in food packaging design (bonus points for snacks!).
  • Background in product photography or styling.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills that connect brand to consumer in seconds.
