Position: Senior PHP Developer

About the role:

We're hiring a hands-on Senior PHP Developer focused purely on building features and fixing problems. You prefer solutions over long debates and you're strong with OOP and modern PHP frameworks.

What you'll do:

• Design and implement backend services and RESTful APIs in PHP using solid OOP principles.
• Build in Laravel or Zend or CodeIgniter.
• Translate business needs into simple, maintainable code and ship incrementally.
• Work with relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL): schemas, indexes, performant queries.
• Improve performance using profiling, caching strategies, and sensible pagination.
• Write practical tests (unit/integration) to keep regressions down.
• Collaborate with Product/Design/QA; keep communication concise and move work forward.

Must-have:

• 7+ year’s professional PHP experience with strong OOP and design patterns.
• Real-world experience in Laravel or Zend or CodeIgniter.
• Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving; you default to solutions over discussion.
• Comfortable building and consuming RESTful APIs (JSON), handling authentication (JWT/OAuth), and third-party integrations.
• Solid SQL fundamentals (joins, transactions, indexing) and ability to debug slow queries.
• Version control with Git and clean pulls requests.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and Bootstrap for basic UI wiring or small frontend touches.
