Senior Principal Quality Engineer R44943
The Senior Principal Engineer – Quality performs high level definition, analysis, and resolution of complex product or process concerns for heavy duty vehicles. Integrates with cross functional teams to develop product and process quality standards. Provides quality planning, control, and improvement to assure product quality meets customer expectations. Collaborates with organizational level quality leadership. Provides specialty research and development in strategic quality technology and system areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Operations, Business, Engineering or related field
10 plus years of related work experience
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with applying Quality Engineering Principles during current production and new product development.
Expert mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems
Previous manufacturing with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Tier 1 supplier in the transportation industry
Six Sigma, ASQ, or related certification
Strong ability to interpret basic technical drawings including characteristics such as views, title blocks, dimensioning, GD&T symbols, etc., and interpret specification requirements in relation to product and process characteristics
Background in welding and welding processes.
Background in paint and paint processes.
Experience with In-Process Validation (IPV) and Quality Gate supporting Built-in-Quality.
MS Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Visio, Statistical software
Experience with JDE ERP, Power BI
Pay Range:
$92,600.00 - $154,400.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
