Our client is a leading pharmaceutical distribution company with operations in Türkiye (Istanbul & Ankara) , Switzerland , and the United Arab Emirates . The company manages an extensive product portfolio of over 6,000 medical and pharmaceutical items , supplying healthcare institutions, pharmacies, and hospitals with the highest quality products and services.


We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist with a strong background in medical and pharmaceutical purchasing . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and availability across multiple international locations. This position requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical supply chain and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and global environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and execute the procurement of pharmaceutical and medical products across multiple categories (6,000+ SKUs).
  • Identify and negotiate with local and international suppliers , ensuring the best terms of price, quality, and delivery.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations , establish long-term partnerships, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels , forecast demand, and collaborate closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Support procurement needs for international branches (Ankara, Switzerland, UAE) through coordinated purchasing strategies.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures to identify opportunities for cost optimization .
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and local pharmaceutical regulations .
  • Prepare and present regular procurement reports to management.


Qualifications & Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration , or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical procurement is required.
  • Proven experience managing high-volume and multi-category purchasing portfolios .
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, suppliers, and regulatory requirements .
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Strong MS Office and ERP system knowledge (SAP or similar).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and operate within an international organization.
