Job Purpose
The Senior Procurement Specialist will lead the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring that the organization acquires goods and services at the best competitive prices while maintaining high quality and strict compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement localized and international sourcing strategies to support operational requirements across all departments (including AAD and VC Office).
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-performing suppliers. Conduct regular performance reviews and maintain a robust "Approved Vendor List" (AVL).
- Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations for high-value contracts, focusing on cost-saving targets, payment terms, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Tender Management: Oversee the preparation of RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents. Manage the bidding process and provide technical and commercial evaluations to the management.
- Contract Administration: Draft and review procurement contracts in coordination with the legal team to mitigate risks.
- Reporting & Compliance: Monitor procurement spends against budgets and provide monthly reports on savings, lead times, and vendor performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate procurement workflows (linking with the upcoming ERP/Automation systems).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in procurement within the UAE.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the UAE supplier market, import/export regulations, and VAT requirements.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced MS Excel.
- Competencies: Exceptional negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
