Job Summary

The Senior Product and Planning Specialist supports the development and implementation of product strategies for current and future vehicle line-ups. This role involves coordinating market research, product lifecycle management, competitive analysis, sales planning, and aligning cross-functional teams to ensure market-relevant product offerings and strategic planning accuracy.


Key Responsibilities


Product Management & Development

  • Assist in defining and maintaining the product portfolio based on market needs, competition, and global brand strategy.
  • Support in launching new products or variants, coordinating between engineering, marketing and sales.
  • Track product performance and customer feedback to recommend enhancements or lifecycle actions.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct market and segment analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Build the price calculation and the positioning in coordination with market manager, zone manager, importer and the brand.
  • Monitor competitor pricing, positioning, and product changes to feed into product positioning strategies.
  • Benchmark specifications, features, and pricing.
  • Be on the lookout for any new automotive regulations.

Planning & Forecasting

  • Support volume forecasting and product mix planning in coordination with sales and finance.
  • Assist in production and inventory planning inputs based on product lifecycle and market demand.
  • Develop and manage timelines for product introductions and phase-outs.
  • Follow up of the shipment to reach the monthly target.
  • Support Car Flow Management

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop dashboards and reports to track product KPIs (market share, pricing, profitability, volume, etc.).
  • Analyse sales performance by model/variant and recommend adjustments to improve competitiveness.
  • Support strategic planning documents and business case development for future products.


Qualifications

  • Education: Education bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience: 5–7 years of experience in product planning, business analysis, or automotive-related roles.
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry is must .


Skills

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, and planning tools (PowerBI is a plus).
  • Knowledge of automotive markets, trends, and vehicle technologies.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
