Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the strategy and design of a high-profile financial product focused on data visualization and client insights for the BNY. This role will shape a consumer-grade dashboard experience that helps clients understand and optimize their payments behavior, driving efficiency and measurable business value. The ideal candidate is an experienced designer (7+ years) with a strong background in complex systems, regulated industries, and translating financial data into clear, impactful user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Visualization & Dashboard Design: Lead the end-to-end design of interactive dashboards that visualize complex financial and behavioral data for both internal users and external clients. Create clear, actionable visual experiences that enable decision-making and business optimization.
• User-Centered Design: Ground all design decisions in user research, behaviors, and insights to deliver intuitive, high-impact visualization experiences tailored to the needs of BNY clients and internal stakeholders.
• Interaction & UI Design for Complex Systems: Design intricate web interfaces and workflows that make dense financial datasets approachable. Develop scalable layouts, navigation patterns, and micro-interactions that bring clarity to complexity.
• Experience Strategy & Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into functional design solutions. Contribute to and evolve the global design system to ensure visual consistency across BNY’s products and visualization tools.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional product design experience
• Proven experience designing within regulated industries such as finance, health, or insurance
• Expertise in data visualization, dashboard design, and interaction design for complex systems
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and Miro
• Strong communication and storytelling skills to present complex design concepts to technical and business stakeholders
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant data visualization and dashboard work (Figma or similar link required)

Preferred Experience:

• Experience using AI-powered design tools to enhance design workflows or visualization capabilities
