We are seeking a skilled Progress Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Progress OpenEdge databases and will be responsible for ensuring their reliability, performance, and security. This role involves close collaboration with development teams to design, deploy, and maintain database solutions, while also providing critical 24/7 support for production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade Progress OpenEdge databases.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Manage database backups, restorations, and disaster recovery processes.
• Perform routine maintenance and database tuning.
• Apply database patches and updates as needed.
• Administer security in OS/Progress environments, including user access definition and management.
• Monitor and maintain the security of production environments.
• Diagnose and resolve database-related issues.
• Provide 24/7 support for critical database operations.
• Work closely with development teams to design, test, and deploy database solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Progress OpenEdge database management.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience, idly candidate must have 10 to 15 years of experience
• Knowledge of Progress ABL (Advanced Business Language) and Progress 4GL queries is a plus.
• Experience with database backup tools and recovery strategies.
• Ability to monitor and optimize database performance.
• Familiarity with database indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Experience integrating Progress databases with other applications.
• Understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Experience:

• Proven track record in Progress OpenEdge DBA roles.
• Hands-on experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of integrating Progress databases in enterprise systems.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Pay: Rs450,000.00 - Rs500,000.00 per month
