Senior Project Engineer – Capital Projects (CAPEX)
Function

Job Purpose
To lead and support the execution and successful completion of capital projects in alignment with approved KPIs, project objectives, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Identify, assess, and escalate any risks or deviations related to schedule or budget, and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Coordinate closely with Operations to ensure project scope is delivered effectively, including participation in the development and evaluation of technical and operational solutions.
- Manage small to medium-sized projects from initiation through execution to final handover.
- Review and provide technical input on contractor submissions, including fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Participate in design review meetings with EPCM/EPC contractors and consultants, contributing to design optimization and Value Engineering initiatives.
- Ensure readiness and completeness of all project documentation, including drawings, operating manuals, and maintenance manuals, prior to project completion and handover.
- Support construction activities to ensure execution is carried out in accordance with approved technical specifications and standards.
Authority / Decision Making
- Operates within established engineering procedures, standards, and best practices.
- Work is performed under managerial supervision and subject to review in accordance with approved operational guidelines and precedents.
Qualifications & SkillsMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline).
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project execution, preferably within capital projects or industrial environments.
