Senior Project Manager

Senior Project ManagerThis role requires a proven track record in managing complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects from inception through commissioning, with specific expertise in data centre environments and their unique technical requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end delivery of greenfield data centre projects from design development through construction completion and commissioning

Manage all aspects of project execution including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management

Serve as the primary client interface and single point of accountability for project success

Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and specialty consultants

Provide expert oversight of critical technical systems including high-density power distribution and redundant electrical infrastructure

Manage stormwater management systems and site drainage solutions to ensure environmental and regulatory compliance

Coordinate integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems with data centre operational requirements

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, contractors, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders

Lead project meetings, prepare comprehensive progress reports, and communicate project status to senior leadership

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle

Implement quality assurance protocols to ensure construction meets data centre industry standards

Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices

Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 8-10 years of project management experience in commercial construction

At least 5 years specifically managing data centre projects

Demonstrated success delivering greenfield data centre facilities from site development through operational readiness

Deep understanding of data centre design principles, infrastructure requirements, and operational considerations

Expertise in managing stormwater management and site drainage systems for large-scale developments

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and redundancy requirements for mission-critical facilities

Familiarity with AI industry requirements including high-density computing infrastructure and enhanced cooling systems

Proven experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $50M

Strong leadership capabilities with ability to manage large, diverse project teams

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

Strategic problem-solving ability with focus on practical, cost-effective solutions

Proficiency in project management software including MS Project, Primavera P6, and construction management platforms

Strong commercial acumen with understanding of contract administration and change management processes

Academic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (required)

PMP certification

LEED AP or similar sustainability credential (advantageous)
