Overview

Our client is a leading online news publishing company in Denmark seeking a Senior Python Developer to join their growing tech team. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience, particularly with Python and MongoDB, and will be able to work independently while managing projects end-to-end. This is a key technical role focused on building scalable, high-performance systems to support millions of readers daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and MongoDB.
• Build efficient APIs and integrations to support the news publishing platform.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Collaborate with the editorial and product teams to deliver new features.
• Manage development projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Ensure best practices for code quality, security, and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Python Developer.
• Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of backend frameworks (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, or Django).
• Experience integrating APIs and working with third-party services.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or similar).
• Proven ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results independently.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
