Role Overview

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of high-rise and large-scale construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency, contractual compliance, and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage BOQs, cost estimates, and budgets from pre-contract to post-contract phases.
• Lead pre-contract processes including tender documentation, bid evaluations, and procurement strategy.
• Administer post-contract functions including interim valuations, variations, cost reporting, and final account settlements.
• Analyze, prepare, and negotiate claims and contractual correspondence.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and project teams to drive value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, monitor project budgets, and report on cost-to-completion.
• Oversee and manage subcontractor payments, contracts, and claims.
• Attend project and client meetings to support commercial decision-making.
• Mentor junior QS staff and enforce G & B’s commercial best practices.

Skills & Competencies Required

• Strong command of FIDIC Conditions of Contract and POMI; ability to draft and interpret contract agreements.
• Proven capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with values ranging between AED 200M to AED 300M.
• Solid experience in contract management for both head contracts and subcontracts.
• Expertise in claims preparation, variation assessments, and commercial negotiations.
• Proficient in cost control, budget monitoring, and cost-to-complete analysis.
• Good working knowledge of market pricing trends and estimation fundamentals.
• Familiar with software such as Candy/CCS, CostX, and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8–12 years of experience in quantity surveying, with at least 10 years in the UAE or GCC on high-rise/tower construction projects.
• MRICS (preferred) or working toward chartered status.
• Experience in working with major contractors or developers preferred.
• Candidates with prior experience in L&T, Shapoorji Pallonji, Arabtec, Saudi Binladin Group, or similar large-scale construction companies are highly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED16,000.00 per month
