MEP Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications for MEP scope of works.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for MEP materials, equipment, and systems.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance of estimates with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost comparisons, and value engineering proposals.
• Assist in tender clarifications, technical queries, and post-tender negotiations.
• Prepare and submit technical and commercial bid documents within deadlines.
• Coordinate with project, procurement, and design teams during pre- and post-tender stages.
• Update and maintain historical cost databases for reference in future projects.
• Support project managers in budget preparation and cost control during project execution.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–8 years of experience in MEP estimation within construction/contracting companies.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire-fighting systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software (e.g., CCS Candy, Planswift).
• Familiarity with international standards and codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, SMACNA, etc.).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED6,500.00 per month
