Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management, contract administration, and commercial activities across construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee budgeting, cost control, procurement, financial reporting, and contractual compliance while providing strategic commercial support throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and review of cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), tender documents, and commercial proposals.
• Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and cost reporting to ensure financial targets are achieved.
• Administer and negotiate subcontractor and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Evaluate variations, claims, extension of time requests, and change orders, providing commercial recommendations and ensuring fair valuation.
• Conduct cost analysis, risk assessments, and value engineering initiatives to maximize project profitability.
• Provide commercial guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors and support the professional development of the commercial team.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and consultants to deliver cost-effective solutions and resolve commercial issues.
• Prepare monthly commercial reports, final accounts, and project closeout documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of quantity surveying experience, with significant experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement strategies, cost management, and contract administration.
• Experience with FIDIC or other standard forms of contract is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, financial, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying and cost management software, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
