Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Contract Manager - MEP (Post Contract)

DRAWLINES ENGINEERING CONSULT is looking for Senior Quantity Surveyor/Contract Manager – MEP (Post-Contract) in Doha-Qatar

Location: Lusail Plaza Towers

Key Responsibilities:

1. Advise MEP team regarding subcontract obligations.

2. Oversee subcontract communications including drafting of key notices and claims-related correspondence.

3. Evaluation of variations in conjunction with MEP team.

4. Assist in the development of claims including the drafting of narratives and liaison with MEP team and others in relation to quantum.

5. Interfacing and attending meetings with external consultants as required.

6. Work alongside the MEP team and senior management to finalise the MEP Subcontractor’s account.

7. Provide contract-related assistance for other minor MEP subcontractors.

Capabilities

• Extensive post-contract Contract Administration experience on major MEP subcontract packages.
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, ELV, ICT, BMS, and related building services systems.
• Proven experience in administering MEP subcontracts on large-scale construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and administering contractual notices related to delay, non-performance, default, and subcontractor breaches.
• Extensive experience in managing variations, claims, payments, recoveries, and final accounts.
• Ability to review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, programmes, and technical submissions.
• Strong contractual correspondence drafting and contract administration skills.
• Experience in analyzing delays, performance issues, scope changes, and their commercial implications.
• Excellent document management, record review, and evidence compilation capabilities.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare professional contractual correspondence and management reports.

The following would be an advantage:

• Confident demeanor back up by solid experience with subcontractor contract management.
• Ten years post-qualification experience in Qatar.
• MRICS or near-MRICS qualified.
