Senior Quantity Surveyor (Post Contract)

Job roles and Responsibilities:

· Administer all contractual matters pertaining to the Main Contract and Subcontracts and to keep the Project Manager appraised concerning contractual matters

· Identify, analyses and develop responses to commercial risks

· Identify and process Variations including Variation orders, Quantification and Evaluation

· Evaluation and preparation of Statement at Completion as per the Main Contract

· Measurement and proper settlement of Subcontractors final accounts

· Ensuring timely submission of Main Contractor’s monthly Valuations and expediting timely receipt of Certificate from the Consultant

· To ensure proper Change Control procedures are established in accordance with the Main Contract requirement.

· Ensure all relevant contractual notices are submitted in accordance with the Contract in conjunction with the Project Manager

· Draft appropriate letters of entitlement, notifications and reply to contractual matters as and when required throughout the project duration in coordination with Project Manager.

· Prepare Variations in accordance with the Main Contract including initiation, quantification, evaluation and submission to the Consultant in accordance with the Change Control procedure

· Verify Variation Orders and evaluations received from the Consultant are in accordance with the project requirement in coordination with Project Manager

· Dealing with RFI, FCR and comments on various Contractor’s submittals according to the Change Control procedure established in the Project.

· Participate in meeting with the Project Manager with Consultant, Subcontractors etc. in pursuance of commercial and contractual matters.

· Prepare monthly revised Contract forecast and monthly reports in coordination with Cost Control and Finance department.

· Ensure proper documentation for contractual matters, notices, Variation submission and agreements, various correspondences etc.

· Maintain and verify the various Quantity Takeoff undertaken by the subordinate QS staff.

· Prepare various Subcontractors monthly Payment Certificates as per the Project requirements along with subordinate QS staff.

· Ensure Variations submitted by the Subcontractors are evaluated in accordance with the approval received from the Consultant and as per the Company procedures

· Develop and assist in improving the skills of subordinate QS staff

Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate Degree (B.S. Civil Engineering) or 3 years or more diploma in Quantity Surveying or Assistant Engineer.
  • 5 – 7 Years work experience as Quantity Surveying for Construction or Contracting firm.
  • Team Leadership.
  • Ability to communicates fluently in English
  • Should be computer literate & familiar with M.S. Package.
  • Will possess excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Familiar with international codes i.e. ASME standards / British standards.
  • Should be a team player with a flexible approach
  • Will have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ras al-Khaimah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
