Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The role includes cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Evaluate contractor quotations and prepare comparative statements.
  • Monitor project costs and prepare cost reports throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage variations, change orders, and claims.
  • Prepare interim payment applications and verify subcontractor invoices.
  • Assist in preparing contracts, agreements, and procurement documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract terms, and company policies.
  • Prepare final accounts and project cost analysis upon project completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in construction projects (preferably high-rise buildings).
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and tendering procedures.
  • Experience with BOQ preparation, variation orders, and project cost management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and quantity surveying software.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of UAE construction standards and FIDIC contracts is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,500.00 - AED7,500.00 per month
