A Land Surveyor for tower and villa projects conducts precise site measurements, establishes property boundaries, and provides critical setting-out points for construction using GPS and total stations. They are responsible for vertical alignment of structures, as-built surveys, volume calculations, and ensuring conformity with architectural plans and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Surveying & Layout: Perform initial site surveys, establish control points, and mark excavation boundaries, foundation locations, and building corners for both tower (vertical) and villa (horizontal) projects.
- Construction Monitoring: Ensure precise verticality of towers, check floor levels (screed levels), and verify location of columns and walls throughout construction.
- Infrastructure & Utilities: Set out lines for roads, sewage, and cable networks associated with villa projects.
- Data Analysis & Recording: Use AutoCAD to analyze survey data, prepare maps, and maintain accurate as-built records for client/consultant approval.
- Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain survey instruments like Robotic Total Stations, GPS, and levels to ensure accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in high-rise and residential construction projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in surveying software, AutoCAD, and hardware (Total Station, GPS).
- Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Communication: Ability to liaise with engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Compliance: Strict adherence to safety (QA/QC) procedures.
