Role: Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor- Civil Construction Industry
Roles & Responsibilities:
Take Offs: Measuring the quantities from the drawings, prepare Bar Bending Schedule
- Cost management: Estimate project costs, prepare budgets, and conduct feasibility studies.
- Tendering and contracts: Prepare tender packages, contracts, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ). Procure contractors and evaluate supplier quotations.
- Financial control: Monitor project expenditure, manage variations and change orders, and provide financial reports and forecasts.
- Contract administration: Prepare the Contract agreement as per FIDIC standard, Manage live contracts and handle claims and disputes.
- Variation Order: Prepare the variation order and prepare the supporting documents related to variation order, such as Change order etc.
- Risk and value management: Implement value engineering and cost control measures. Conduct cost and risk assessments.
- Reporting: Prepare and present financial updates, cost reports, and earned value reports to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Sub Contract Management: Prepare the RFQ, review the quotation and compare with the budget of that activity, evaluate subcontractor work for payment.
- Progress Report: Prepare the weekly and monthly weekly report
- Procurement: Prepare RFQ, placing orders, prepare Purchase Orders, coordinate with supplier and vendors, prepare Sub Contractor Data Base
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with all internal & external Stakeholder and gather the information and requirement as per project
- Final Account: Support project handover by preparing final accounts and ensuring all financial matters are resolved satisfactorily.
- Software: Plan swift, Candy, MS Project, MS Office (Word, Excel & Power Point)
Desired Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in Quantity surveying or Bachelor's in civil engineering, ensuring a solid foundation in core principles.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of relevant work experience in construction or engineering projects, showcasing practical expertise.
- Strong analytical skills, enabling precise calculations and data interpretation to support decision-making.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, vital for effective collaboration with clients and contractors.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, illustrating resilience and effective time management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
