Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented MEP, HVAC & Fit Out (Fire & Safety)Estimation Engineer with a solid background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating costs and resources required for MEP projects, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and in accordance with specifications. This role requires a deep understanding of MEP systems and the ability to collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to provide accurate cost projections while managing risks and ensuring efficient project delivery.

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of UAE experience in MEP, HVAC & Fit Out Works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Estimation engineers analyze project designs and develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
• Bid Preparation: They assist in preparing bids and proposals for projects, ensuring the estimates align with the project's scope and specifications.
• Quantity Takeoffs: They perform quantity takeoffs (counting the materials and resources needed) to assess how much of each material or resource will be required for a project.
• Risk Assessment: They evaluate potential risks related to project costs, timelines, and resource availability, and incorporate contingencies into the estimates.
• Collaboration with Teams: They work closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure accurate cost estimation.
• Software Usage: Estimation engineers often use specialized software to perform estimates, manage data, and create reports. Examples include tools like CAD, Excel-based systems, etc;
• Updating Estimates: As a project progresses or if any changes are made to the initial design, the estimation engineer updates their cost forecasts and provides recommendations for adjustments.

Requirements:

• Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE local authority codes, standards, and MEP practices.
• Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, Microsoft Excel etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
