Position Overview:
Impact is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimation Engineer to join our team. This is a position aimed at ensuring accurate project costing, effective site evaluation, and preparation of comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ). The Estimation Engineer will work closely with the Design, Procurement, and Production teams to provide reliable estimates, support project planning, and contribute to overall project profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Estimation & Pricing
- Prepare detailed and accurate project cost estimates, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
- Develop BOQs, quotations, and cost sheets for projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client requirements.
- Identify potential cost escalations and propose alternatives or value engineering solutions.
- Site Visits & Project Assessment
- Conduct site visits to gather accurate measurements and assess site conditions.
- Coordinate with the design and production teams to understand project scope and technical requirements.
- Document site findings and integrate them into project estimates.
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with the Procurement team to validate material costs and availability.
- Provide estimations and input for project budgets, timelines, and resource planning.
- Prepare detailed estimation reports and submit to management for approval.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of all estimations, BOQs, and related project documentation.
- Ensure adherence to company standards, estimation protocols, and client requirements.
- Continuous Improvement
- Regularly review estimation processes and propose improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends, material rates, and construction techniques to improve project estimation.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience in project estimation, BOQ preparation, and site assessment.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (preferred).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple teams.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–4 years in a similar estimation or quantity surveying role in interior, construction, or related industry.
