Here’s a Glimpse of the Job

The Senior Research Associate conducts independent research requiring advanced expertise and sound judgment in the field of science or learning. This role also requires consistent use of discretion and judgement. The associate will be involved in preparing proposals for funding agencies, operating and maintaining research equipment, and providing mentorship and training to students and lab or field personnel.

Opportunities to Contribute

  • Designs, plans, conducts, and coordinates research experiments and projects, ensuring effective execution and evaluation throughout all phases.

  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques of routine and non-standard research, keeping detailed records of data.

  • Use computer and laboratory equipment to perform statistical and technical analyses of research experiments, summarize results for interpretation and reporting.

  • Recommend project guidelines, procedures, and policies to ensure research activities align with institutional standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Establishes, installs, maintains, operates and/or repairs research equipment.

  • Utilizes summarized results in scientific and/or clientele-oriented publications.

  • Identify funding opportunities, lead proposal development, and manage financial accounts related to research projects and grant submissions.

  • Trains undergraduate and/or graduate students and other laboratory, technical, or field staff involved in research.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • Four years of related experience in a specialized and relevant field of research.

A well-qualified candidate for this position will also possess:

  • Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and/or technical equipment.

  • Ability to effectively utilize a computer and applicable software.

  • Attention to detail.

Salary: $60,000 annually
