The Senior Sales Coordinator will support the sales team by being the first point of contact for new and existing one-off client queries, with a particular emphasis on one-off quotes for all transport modes and services offered by the organization to meet the client’s requirements. This role will require attention to detail and experience in sales administration in a fast-paced environment.
Note: A hefty sales bonus, in multiples of achieved targets, is available!
Job Responsibilities:
To generate spot rates and provide freight quotes to approaching clients promptly on the Air, Sea, and Road shipments, both on the import and export side;
To raise quotes on a pattern set in the system and provide revised estimates where required in follow-up to the process on terms and conditions advised by the line manager;
To do active follow-up with clients over phone calls and emails for securing immediate quote approvals and passing on the same to operations with active monitoring;
To take assistance from operations for finalizing quotes and approaching clients accordingly for taking additional approvals for reconciliation before reaching the final settlement;
To create and maintain a relationship with both clients, prospects, and Key Account Managers, and to work closely with freight and other departments to resolve customer queries and be in a position to take up rate negotiations;
To do Day-to-day quote management and follow up for closing business and working with internal teams to resolve clients’ issues on priority;
To handle maintenance of current customers, doing analysis of current lanes to assure we are competitive, providing excellent service, and soliciting for more business from customers;
To keep a check on current rates in the marketplace offered by competitors and recommend the changes to the administration accordingly to ensure a competitive advantage;
To make the data entry and ensure accuracy of data in Cargowise CRM and other programs as used by the team internally;
To maintain a log of freight expenditures for preparing improved sales quotes so that the new clients can enjoy worry-free budgeted deliveries without any escalations;
To maintain a log of shipment pricing based on common types and apply filters to accept or reject shipments for quote as per global trends and company policy;
To produce content and sales campaigns via Cargowise CRM and work with the sales department to promote offers and target markets to attract new customers, suppliers, and business partners.
Job Requirements:
Experience with transportation and logistics industries (Preferred)
Awareness of the Freight Forwarding industry (Preferred)
Previous sales experience of dealing with Sales/Spot Quotes
IT literate with good communication skills
Experience of working in a proactive sales role, either on the phone or face-to-face
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain operations, freight, accounting, data management, or related field;
English fluency with strong written communication and interpersonal skills to deal with customer service;
Advanced ability to work comfortably with Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
