Are you a seasoned mold design expert ready to lead a small team of technicians? We’re looking for a Senior Section Head – Mold Design to oversee the design, development, and maintenance of molds, dies, and tooling essential to our manufacturing operations. You’ll play a key role in driving innovation, improving efficiency, and ensuring smooth production processes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and development of new molds and tools for metal and plastic forming.
- Manage mold shop operations, including scheduling, resource planning, and performance tracking.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Production, Purchasing) to align tooling with project needs.
- Optimize existing molds to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure timely repairs and upgrades.
- Evaluate team performance and support their technical growth.
- Prepare and present reports to the Projects Manager and support project-related tasks.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Production, Design & Manufacturing, or Mechatronics).
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience in mold & die design and maintenance.
- 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Experience with CNC machining, heat treatment, and surface finishing.
- Background in home appliances, automotive, or similar industries is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in technical English and Microsoft Office tools.
